About Us

Fearless Threads is a company whose inception is the direct result of an act of passion, a passion for people, for the people who serve others in the community and serve in name of Jesus.  I am not trying to sound holier than thou.  In all honesty, it has been my relationship with Christ that has created this longing to help others.  For me, the relationship and the desire to serve are inseparable.

Volunteering

As a result, I found myself in the place of wanting to help make a difference in someone’s life.  That longing was magnified following a mission trip to the ravaged shores of a Mississippi community still trying to recover from Katrina’s devastation.  After returning, I was no longer content to sit still.  My love for people and desire to help ignited a flame that could not be quenched.  It demanded action.  What could I do?  What can any of us do?  With the answer to that question comes responsibility, doesn’t it?  For me, it did.  My solution was to make it simple for the people in my church to volunteer in the community by setting up dates and posting sign-up sheets.  All they had to do was sign-up and show up.  Like many others, I thought about volunteering, but didn’t know who to call and I certainly did not want to go into a strange environment alone.  Now I don’t have to and neither do they.  Volunteers are encouraged to invite friends and neighbors to join them.  While this may originate in my church, it’s meant to reach beyond the borders of the church walls and impact the giver, the recipient and the community.

Discovering Graphic Design

Where does t-shirt design fall into this whole saga?  I discovered my passion for t-shirt design when making a shirt for the devoted group of community volunteers I serve with.  I wanted to express my appreciation of their gracious hearts and devotion to making a difference in the surrounding communities and to thank them for their support.  I also wanted them to have a team spirit and be easily identified as a team.  Before that moment, I had not been exposed to the world of computer/digital graphic design.  I instantly fell in love with the process and have not stopped since.

Fearless Threads, The Name

If I had to define the type of graphics I create, I would say they are centered on awareness issues.  By that I mean awareness of our humanity, environment, community and Jesus.  My hope is that they inspire and empower the person wearing them and invoke thought and action in those who see them.  All designs have been created by me and I have them screen printed locally.

The name “Fearless Threads” is based on the scripture found in Ephesians 6, 19-20 which, simply stated, says that we should declare the gospel fearlessly.  I would also carry this a little further.  It is our fear that prevents us from reaching our full, God given potential; whatever that fear may be, it will limit you and what you can accomplish.  So I challenge you to speak out, act out and do something that has value and impacts another life in a positive, empowering manner.  Lastly, whatever you do, do it fearlessly.

Fearless Threads Serving The Community

Fearless Thread’s foundation is in community assistance.  As a result, we donate 10% of all proceeds to local community non-profits that continually serve the disadvantaged population in the Pontiac Michigan area.

Some of the organization we serve and support are:

• Christmas in Action – an annual, nationwide event to rehab the homes of the senior citizens.
• The Lighthouse of Oakland County provides assistance to the disadvantaged population of Pontiac, Mi. thru programs aimed at teaching a new skill set; making this population productive members of society.  Emergency assistance is also a vital part of what they do.
• Grace Center’s of Hope of a homeless shelter/food kitchen that rehabilitates the addicted and homeless.  Their program is for 1 year; Christian based and includes the entire family.
• Gleaners Community Food Bank supplies food to the food banks, pantries, kitchens and school backpack programs across a 5 county area.
• Throughout the year, we also support different organizations committed in the fight against cancer and to find a cure.
